Free Investing Education for Students

A student-led nonprofit providing illustrated classroom worksheets, workshops, and a national investing pitch competition reviewed by CFA charterholders.

Who We Are

Blue Chip Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to introducing younger students to how investing actually works. Through illustrated classroom worksheets, interactive workshops, and a national student investing pitch competition, we help students explore concepts like stocks, diversification, and long-term investing in a way that is engaging and accessible. Our curriculum is designed by students and reviewed by CFA charterholders, connecting classroom learning with real-world investing.

Angelo Kourkafas, CFA

Industry Perspectives

Through our Blue Chip Kids Podcast, students hear directly from portfolio managers, equity analysts, CIOs, wealth advisors, and CFA charterholders. These conversations help bring investing concepts to life and connect classroom lessons to real-world careers.

How should young investors build better judgment?

“Patience, quality, time horizon. That’s pretty good… I think you need to do some learning by doing. I think it’s better to find people to talk to than to read books.”

Dereck Sasveld, CFA

Director of Investment Strategy and Research, Busey Wealth Management
